About Franck Areal
A centre for social innovation and inspiration has been established on the Franck Areal. By combining culture, the circular economy, and a diverse range of activities for a lively neighbourly way of life, a futuristic model is emerging that aims to overcome current challenges. This project is consciously adopting a holistic approach to sustainability that encompasses the three dimensions of ecology, economy, and social issues. The acquisition of part of the former mustard and mayonnaise company, belonging to Thomi + Franck, laid the foundation for the implementation of this lighthouse project for Basel and the surrounding region.
