About Contargo

Contargo is one of Europe’s leading networks for container hinterland logistics. Standardised containers are used to transport clothing, furniture, food, and other goods from overseas to us – or from Switzerland to the rest of the world. The company integrates container transport between northern seaports (Rotterdam, Antwerp, Hamburg) and the European hinterland (Switzerland, Germany, France). Contargo’s network concept is based on three components: having its own terminals as hubs, its own inland waterway and rail transport lines as connecting routes, and order processing by both central and decentralised customer service organisations. This concept makes Contargo a popular partner for shipping companies, freight forwarders, and all other players involved in Europe’s intermodal logistics chain.
